5 AMAZING HYBRID ANIMALS - real or fake
Video
Number 1 is this strange vampire looking deer sent in by Hayden Norton and Gage Neel. Now guys, I know this looks like somebody was having fun with photoshop, but it turns out to be real… It’s called a water deer and is native to China and Korea. This thing doesn’t have antlers, but it has a bite you won’t forget.
Number 2 is picture sent in my Marla Townson. It claims to be a hyrid between glow in the dark Jellyfish and a Monkey? Now if there was ever a possible winner for a photoshop contest this would be it… unless it real… which it is. Scientists took the genes of a glowing jellyfish and inserted them in the embryos of Marmoset monkeys. The result is a monkey that can never play hide and seek. They are also pet fish made this way too.
Number 3 is what we might call a pig fish sent in by Simon Campbell, Sayeed Ahmed, and Marty. Now considering what scientists can do these days it’s not a stretch, but the truth is, this one is a fake. Now there is a real fish called a pigfish that looks this… but this pigfish is just a photoshopped version of this very ordinary run of mill fish. The creator of this hoax remains unknown.
HUMAN DOG CROSS BREED
Ok now coming in at Number 4 is this human slash dog or ape combo. submitted by Brendan Ciborowski and David Thaxton. Guys this picture is all over the internet but the truth is… it’s fake. It’s a sculpture created by Artist Patrica Piccinini for an art exhibit called The leather landscape. Patricia says it’s about the relationship between the creature and the little girl but never said exactly what the creature is.
CYBER BEETLE
Our last entry for today takes us to this…one of my favorites, a new kind of cross breed between insect and computer. This one is called the cyber beetle and was sent in by Alex M and Juaquin Gusman. Guys if you run across this in your house, run away as fast as you can because it’s real and it’s probably spying on you. This robobeetle was created by the US department of defense and even though it is a living beetle, it can be told where to fly and land by remote control. OK now that is just scary!
